The Utah Arts Council offers opportunities and resources for performing artists and presenting organizations.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Funding Opportunity
The Japan-U.S. Friendship Commission works cooperatively with the National Endowment for the Arts to sponsor The U.S/Japan Creative Artists' Program. The program provides support for up to five outstanding contemporary and traditional artists from the United States to spend a five-month residency in Japan to pursue their individual artistic goals. The next deadline for this program is February 1, 2009.

ArtsNorthwest is offering a 20% discount to all Utah Artists and Presenters to attend the 28th Northwest Booking Conference held October 13-16 in Eugene, Oregon.
Only Utah residents are eligible for discount.

INDIVIDUAL ARTIST SERVICE GRANTS
(IAS)

Funding for emerging or established individual artists
with grants ranging from $500 to $2000.

Please Note: IAS grants are available to performing groups.
Look under "Collaborations" on the application.


A theatre survey was conducted at the Mountain West Conference on the Arts on May 7 and 8, 2008.  The following is a summary.

35 total surveys were taken. 29 individuals aligned with organizations and 6 individuals participated.  Ten counties were represented.

Organizations have been in existence for an average of 5.8 years.
