NowPlayingUtah.com will provide the largest
database of Utah arts and cultural events on one site, as
well as a location for additional listings of classes and
workshops, jobs, auditions, organizations, venues, public
art, and individual artists.
NowPlayingUtah.com has contracted
with the national content management firm, BeDynamic, Inc.,
to gather, process and monitor information for the events
calendar. You can expect to hear from their editors as they
are currently researching events.
Please add BeDynamic.com, to your press distribution lists
and e-mail your current season calendar/upcoming schedule
of events and press releases to: UtahInfo@BeDynamic.com.
Please make sure that the BeDynamic.com domain is added to
your spam blocker white list.
To ensure that your events are included in the NowPlayingUtah.com
events calendar:
1. All submitted events must include:

Event Name
•
Event Dates
•
Event Times
•
Event Prices
•
Event Description
•
Organization/Producer information (include address, phone
number, e-mail and Web site)
•
Venue Information (include address, phone number, e-mail
and Web site)
•
Images (You can submit up to seven images for each event
- one primary and six for the gallery. Images should be submitted
in JPG format and should be no larger than three megabytes
in size.)
•
Video – You can submit video clips of your events and
organization. Please note that we cannot host the actual
video. You will need to host your video with a third party
video host (i.e. You Tube, Google Video) and then send the ‘embed’ code
that your video host provides. Video submissions need to
be sent to support@NowPlayingUtah.com.
2. Event details must be submitted a minimum of four weeks
before the event takes place. (The calendar will be updated
twice a month.)

Statewide Annual Conference
The Utah Arts Council holds a statewide annual conference in May.
Current UAC Exhibits
The Utah Arts Council maintains and operates three exhibit spaces. The Rio Gallery exhibits group shows featuring emerging as well as established artists in Utah, the Alice Gallery located in the Glendinning Home hosts shows by Utah artists, and the Chase Home Museum of Utah Folk Arts in Liberty Park has a permanent collection of Utah folk art.

Traditions Festival
Living Traditions: A Celebration of Salt Lake's Folk &
Ethnic Arts takes place on the weekend before Memorial Day
each May. This three-day event is held on the grounds of the
City & County Building in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah.
Festival hours are Friday 5-10 pm; Saturday 12-10 pm; and
Sunday 12-7 pm. Free admission

in the Park Concerts
Since 1987, the Utah Arts Council Folk Arts Program has hosted
free concerts of folk music and ethnic dance at the Chase
Home Museum of Utah Folk Arts, located in the center of
Salt Lake City's Liberty Park. Concerts begin at 7:00 PM,
Monday evenings during July and August. Bring your lawn chair
or picnic blanket!
