Annual Original
Writing Competition
This annual competition, established in 1958, has won national
respect because of the reputation of its judges and the honors
received by its winners. There is no entry fee for the competition,
and it is open to all Utah residents.
Design
Arts Competition & Exhibition
The Utah Arts Council Design Arts Program proudly
continues the annual salute and celebration of Utah’s
designers with the annual exhibition DesignArts Utah.
Performing Artists Application
for the Utah Performing Arts Tour
The Utah Performing Arts Tour (UPAT) offers non-profit
organizations throughout the state a roster of the finest
Utah artists and companies at affordable prices. For performing
artists, the Utah Arts Council provides assistance developing
promotion packets, marketing, creating press releases, touring
and developing an audience.

Art Commissions
Utah's Public Art Program helps bring the arts to
all of the citizens of the state through the commission and
installation of site-specific art for State public buildings.

Visual Arts
Statewide Annual Competition/Exhibition
Visual arts competitions and exhibitions have been a project
of the state since 1899, providing juried exhibitions open
to all Utah artists and a forum from which the Permanent Collection
Committee can make acquisition recommendations.
