Statewide Annual Competition
Visual arts competitions and exhibitions
have been a project of the state since 1899, providing juried
exhibitions open to all Utah artists and a forum from which
the Permanent Collection Committee can make acquisition recommendations.
This competition and exhibition is open to all Utah artists over the age of 18. The jurors prefer to see the works in person, but if you are unable to deliver your pieces to the host gallery, up to three slides may be submitted and sent to the Utah Arts Council (see address below).

"Fine Craft "
refers to both functional and non-functional items such as ceramics, glass, jewelry, fiber art, weaving,
furniture, consumer design, etc.
"Photography"
consists of works created using any photographic process and is not
limited to two-dimensional work.
