After an extensive assessment process conducted by the Community Partnerships Program with the assistance of Laurel Cannon Alder, we are pleased to announce the NEW Utah Arts Council Presenting and Touring Program.

Program Purpose: To provide support to Utah performing artists and presenting organizations in their efforts to build community through the performing arts.

Proposed program components:

For Artists:

• Professional development workshops
• Funding subsidies to booking conferences
• Membership subsidies to national presenting organizations
• Online register of performing artists with links to artist's home page, pictures, downloadable audio/visual and reviews/comments

For Presenters:

• Professional development conferences and workshops
• TourWest grant assistance
• Funding subsidies to booking conferences
• Membership subsidies to national presenting organizations such as Arts Northwest and Western Arts Alliance
• Online listing of presenters and resources
• Subsidization and technical assistance with the newly-defined Utah Performing Arts Tour (see below)

OnStage in Utah! will consist of a packaged Tour with recognized national artists that will provide high quality performances with educational residency and outreach opportunities. More details on this program will be published in mid-March 2008.
