The Utah Performing Arts Program is moving in a new direction ... !

After a thorough assessment and board review, the Utah Performing Arts program will be making some changes to better serve the performing arts community in Utah. This new program will enhance the professional development of both the artists and presenters as well as provide support through new opportunities and resources.

Highlights of the new program include the following:

For Performing Artists:

• Professional development workshops held in various locations
• Booking conference and showcase subsidies
• A new exciting online artist directory with links to home web spaces
• Opportunities to network with Utah presenting organizations
• Assistance with UAC Individual Artists Grants

For Presenting Organizations:

• OnStage in Utah! will offer 2-3 packaged yearly touring options. These will be eligible for funding from both the Utah Arts Council and the TourWest grants
• Subsidies to attend booking conferences, membership options to national presenting organizations, and block booking opportunities
• Professional development workshops including a TourWest grant writing workshop

The Utah Arts Council's Community Partnerships Program provides consultation and technical assistance for sponsoring organizations. Community Development assists performing artists in marketing, developing artist promotion packets, creating press releases, touring, and developing an audience.
