The Brass Tacks Quintet will knock your socks off, elevate you to a higher plane, and get you groovin' in your seat. They offer a blend of music so diverse, you'll marvel at their versatility. The first piece may place you in 16th Century Venice. Next, you'll be taken to New Orleans in the 1920s. Then it's off to the Irish countryside, a smoky New York jazz club, a 1950s sock hop, a summer Saturday at the park gazebo, finally winding up in 18th Century Leipzig. You'll get more than you bargained for with this group.

Brass TacksThe Brass Tacks consists of five rock-solid musicians: Matt Moore on tuba, Jim Nora on trombone, Lindsey Wood on horn, and on trumpets, Kelly Ricks and Ian Murdock. Besides performing, each musician is also a teacher of his/her instrument, ensuring a dynamic rapport with all outreach audiences.

The Brass Tacks Quintet performs regularly at weddings, ceremonies, and gatherings of all types. In addition, they bring their splash of sound to the Utah Arts Festival, the Brown Bag Concert Series, the Park City Jazz Festival, and a variety of other celebrations. The Brass Tacks will add panache, pizzazz, and pomp to your event. And who knows? You might just find yourself transported.
