For the 2007-2008 season, Children’s Dance Theatre will present a premiere performance entitled The Dream Stealer. This performance is based on a children’s book by the same title written by popular children’s author, Stephen Cosgrove. Join the CDT company members as they dance the tale of mystery and intrigue as a young brother and sister work together with the local librarian to restore the dreams of the townspeople.

Children’s Dance Theatre, the second oldest performing arts organization in Utah, is comprised of 280 dancers ages 8 to 18 under the artistic direction of Mary Ann Lee. CDT performances will delight audiences of all ages as they experience the vitality of creative modern dance as uniquely performed by this talented company. The primary goals of Children’s Dance Theatre are to allow children to experience the joy of moving and the discipline of dance, to nurture the creative process, and to share the results of this training with a broad population base.

Outreach Options:

Activities geared for dancers and non-dancers alike can include the following: school matinee performances, teacher training workshops and accompanying lesson plans, or dance classes for all ages from children to adults including those with physical challenges.  Residency activities will be customized to fit the presenter’s needs.
