“Simultaneously energetic and introspective, [Maxfield] nourishes the ears & the soul with attentive songwriting and beautifully crafted musicianship.” —DJ Frederick, WSCS 90.0, New London, NH
Praised for their musicality and creativity, Maxfield delights audiences of all ages and interest with “a satisfying merging of folk, rock and pop with a classical twist” (Daily Universe, 04/06). The creative brainchild of bandleader/songwriter Stuart Maxfield, Maxfield boasts a surprising roster of seven, young multi-instrumentalists and produces a song-driven, organic sound, combining elements of old country, indie folk, jam rock, and more.
Stuart Maxfield’s music has been a force in the Wasatch region for the past ten years, being featured at such events as First Night (SLC). In the past year, Maxfield has enjoyed performing at the Utah State Fair, the Salt Lake City Farmer’s Market, and the 2006 Hunger Awareness Day sponsored by the Utah Food Bank where Maxfield took the Gallivan Center stage as the featured band.
Guaranteed to delight audiences of all ages and musical interests, Maxfield brings a fresh sound, clean entertainment and family-friendly rock n’roll to any venue. Maxfield band members include:

Outreach Options:
Maxfield is composed of seven young, talented multi-instrumentalists. Each musician is classically trained and has studied or is currently studying music on a university level. Many of the musicians teach students of their own and are skilled instructors. This experience and rich academic and theoretical training makes Maxfield the ideal band to facilitate master classes and provide instruction to those interested in a variety of musical genres. The band specializes in instructing classes featuring bluegrass, folk, or guitar skills and can teach audiences ranging from middle school-aged groups and older.
A smaller ensemble of 3 or 4 band members is also available to play for audiences who can not attend concerts and musical events such as assisted living facilities, care centers, and hospitals. Members of the band believe in the healing power of music for both the body and spirit and have used music as a tool to provide relief, comfort, and entertainment to those who may not otherwise be able to participate in musical events. Maxfield enjoys sharing their talents with those who are in need of these healing experiences.
