Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company is known worldwide as a professional dance company with outstanding performances and residency activities for adults and young audiences. Founded in 1964, the Company constantly moves forward and is keenly aware of what is happening in the contemporary dance scene, as well as, appreciating the genius of pioneers. At home we are listed in the Salt Lake Tribune as “Best Dance Event in Utah” during 2003, and were also listed in the New York Times and Los Angeles Times as one o fhte “10 Best Dance Events of the Year” in connection with our U.S. Nikolais Dance Theater tour. Along with performances, we continue our commitment to education and youth through our model Step-Lively, Step-Up and Step-Out programs in Utah schools. These programs are intended to educate, inspire and celebrate the joy of dance with children of all ages.
