Once upon a time, seven very diverse people came together to form “The Traveling Tellers.” They wanted to share their stories far and wide with people who might not otherwise get to attend one of the many storytelling festivals that have sprung up across the nation. They will tickle your ears with the sound of their voices as they weave their tales of all kind and please an audience for folks from 5 to 105.

Members of our troupe include Daniel Bishop, Carol Esterricher, Suzanne Hudson, Billy Jones, Janine Nishiguchi, Holly B. Robinson, and Jan Smith. Each teller has a distinct style and repertoire of stories to tell to school children, teenagers, adults, family groups, and senior citizens. At least two and more likely three members of the Traveling Tellers will come to your community for a energetic storytelling concert and outreach activity to enjoy.

Outreach Options:

The Traveling Tellers can conduct a variety of workshops for children, for those who work with children and those who want to tell stories. We work with young children to seniors.

We are sure to have a workshop for you. The group consists of a librarian, speech pathologist, literacy specialist, actors, folklorists, puppeteer and bone digger. We can present, design and create a fun interactive workshop for you and your group.

Technical Requirements:

A microphone, preferably a body microphone
