
Fellowships are available for individual artists practicing crafts, painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, sculpture, artist's bookmaking, and working in new genres, conceptual arts and video. Fellowship grants do not require matching funds.
Applying artists must demonstrate professionalism in their art through quality images and documentation. Artists must be Utah residents not enrolled in a degree or certificate-granting program.
Jon Stuart is a photographer in Jackson, Wyoming. His work is focused on the modern West. He was a teaching assistant for the Ansel Adams Yosemite Workshops and has lead photography workshops for the Teton Science School, the Snake River Institute, Central Wyoming College and the Art Association of Jackson, Wyoming. His work has been exhibited at the National Museum of Wildlife Art, the Nicolaysen Museum and the Wyoming State Museum. He is represented by the Oswald Gallery in Jackson, Wyoming.
As of 2006, all applicants for Utah Arts Council grants and fellowships must register for a Dun and Bradstreet (DUNS) number. This number is free and IS used as an important advocacy tool for the arts.
