Museum Interpretation Initiative: Telling Our Stories

The Utah Arts & Museums Office of Museum Services, Utah Humanities Council, and Utah Museums Association, invite small museums around the state to take part in Utah’s Museum Interpretation Initiative.  The Museum Interpretation Initiative: Telling Our Stories program offers free three full-day hands-on workshops where participants will learn how to research the stories of their collections and place them in historical and cultural contexts, design and produce interpretive exhibits, and develop docent-led tours that follow educational best practices. Participants will also have the opportunity to develop lasting relationships with other museum professionals, volunteers, and in-state experts. Contact the Utah Humanities Council for additional information.
