(Theatre)

Steve Clorfeine has been writing, performing and directing theater pieces since 1975. His productions have been presented in theatres, public schools, libraries, senior centers and art centers throughout the United States and Western Europe. Steve is the director of Blue Serge Productions and is on the theater faculty of the Naropa Institute in Boulder, Colorado, the Theatre School in Amsterdam and the State University of New York at New Paltz. He has been involved with arts education for the past 15 years in New York, Washington, California and Utah.

In theater residencies, Steve works with movement, language and imagination as ways of being comfortable with who you are, of being willing to be yourself and of experiencing your own creative process. Workshops might include developing classroom curriculum into a stage reading or adaptation, or creating speaking, movement and character roles from scratch. Steve works with 4th through 12th grades, parents, seniors and special populations.

Best availability in November, March and April.

Available for residencies, teacher training, extended projects, collaborations with other artists, and short-term activities.
