In today's highly-competitive fundraising
market, all nonprofit organizations are looking for
additional funding. Here are some alternatives for arts
and culture groups.
For Arts Education funding options, see the Funding Alternatives listed on the Education Partner & Resource Links page.
Small arts organizations are at a
particular disadvantage in the search for funding opportunities,
since they often lack the skills and knowledge necessary
to prepare an effective grant proposal and have limited
access to available opportunities.
The Utah Arts Council extends professional
support to constituents in researching information on
granting opportunities, assisting with preparation of
submission materials, networking within the community
and discovering creative avenues for collaboration.
Community Development staff meet with
organizations and individuals throughout the state.
They maintain a library of resource materials and a
database for customized information access. Research
activities are ongoing to identify as many funding sources
outside the Utah Arts Council - local, regional, national
and international - as possible.
Contact us if you have further questions
about alternative funding sources.
