Listening In: Utah Storytelling
Listening
In: Utah Storytelling
Although some storytellers share their art on stage,
many more Utahns tell stories in a variety of everyday situations--at
home, at work and at play. This cassette tape and its accompanying
booklet invite listeners into these more private storytelling
situations to experience the art of a well-crafted story and
the process through which family and community values, beliefs
and concerns are passed along to the next generation. Thirteen
storytelling sessions ranging from stories about work, family
history and immigration to deer hunting are included.
