Swedish Music in Utah: Lucia Celebration
Christmas Songs Performed by the Children's Choirs of the Swedish Heritage Society

This twenty-five minute compact disc presents music that is part of the Swedish Heritage Society's Lucia Celebration. This compilation includes Swedish Christmas carols performed by both the Lucia Choir and by the younger Children's Choir, recorded in 2003. It also contains children's dance music that was recorded during a spontaneous gathering of musicians and singers around the Christmas tree at the 1987 Lucia Celebration.

Anyone unfamiliar with Swedish Christmas music will be surprised by the beauty of the carols and the playfulness of the dance songs. For Swedish Americans who hear these carols sung only once a year, this collection will be a pleasant reminder of this extraordinary, magical evening.

Words to the songs are included in Swedish so the whole family can sing along!
