Prize Photography from Utah State Fair
Reflection on the Utah State Fair
With the advent of the digital camera, people are enjoying photography more than ever before. They are able to view their work in an instant and improve their composition with digital tools.
In the year 2000, 250 artists submitted their photography to the State Fair and this past year 1400 photographs were submitted -- and the number will continue to grow as more and more hopefuls pick up a camera and teach themselves the tricks of the trade. This traveling exhibit features prize winners from the various categories in the Fair's photography competition.
Curtis Parker of the Utah State Fair notes, "As the doors open to the public, it’s a joy to watch their expression when they find a ribbon on their print, but whether one finds a ribbon or not, the comment I hear most is 'I’ll be back next year.'"
This exhibit is sponsored in part by Pixels Photo & Frame.
