Exhibits
GENERAL INFORMATION
Who may use the Traveling Exhibition
Program?
Exhibits may be booked by museums, college and
public galleries, community groups or institutions such
as libraries, schools and other nonprofit organizations.
What about security for the exhibit?
Locations must be secured, well publicized and open to the public.
Who handles transportation and installation?
The Visual Arts staff transports the exhibitions
and provides professional installation (with the exception
of professional museums and galleries.)
What is the cost?
Exhibits are scheduled for approximately one
month periods at $125.00 per exhibit.
Are educational materials provided?
The mission of the Traveling Exhibition Program
is to provide meaningful visual arts experiences. To help
accomplish this goal, educational materials are included
with each exhibition. The materials consist of: historical
background, biographical information, discussion of the
medium and techniques, as well as suggested activities
that can be used in conjunction with the exhibition.
How should the exhibits be publicized?
Each exhibit includes a press release and a photograph
for publicity purposes. A framed introductory text panel
accompanies each exhibition. Feel free to advertise in
your community the way you deem most effective.
