This workshop will be taught by UMFA Conservator Robyn Haynie and NHMU Anthropology Collections Manager Glenna Nielsen-Grimm. Participants will learn about collections documentation and record-keeping forms, including hands-on practice with templates. Additionally, we will learn about cleaning collections objects, and what we can do ourselves and what should be left to conservators. We will cover hands-on demonstrations of dry-cleaning methods, as well as a collections cleaning tools and materials kit.
