Staff Highlight: Reilly Jensen

Reilly Jensen is the Museum Field Services Coordinator at the Utah Division of Arts and Museums, where she supports community-focused projects and initiatives serving 250+ museums across the state of Utah. Reilly brings a decade of experience working as an archaeologist, educator, freelance scientific illustrator, and cultural heritage consultant, including a portfolio of work from across the Arabian Peninsula and Central Asia. She holds an M.A. in Middle East Studies, a B.S. in Anthropology, and is working on completing an M.F.A. in Community-Based Arts Education at the University of Utah. Her interests are in storytelling, identity, cultural-environmental education, and understanding how modern heritage is constructed through a robust understanding of the past.

Reilly has contributed graphics and illustrations to professional journals, reports, and monographs and is assistant director of an NEH-funded archaeological project at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Bat, Al-Khutum, and Al-Ayn in the Sultanate of Oman. In her free time, she enjoys gardening and playing banjo and is a certified Mermaid freediver.
